Welcome Tom Wolf – PPG Collision – North America Director to Plasnomic Council

Super excited to officially welcome Mr. Tom Wolf to the Plasnomic Global Alliance Council a strategic addition that brings tremendous depth, leadership, and industry wisdom to our mission of establishing global standards in plastic repair.

Tom’s career spans over three decades of collision industry excellence, beginning in 1985 at Jim’s Auto Body in the Bay Area. There, he developed his craft as a refinish technician inside one of the nation’s early MSOs, giving him a real-world, technician-first perspective that has stayed with him throughout his entire career.

In 1994, Tom joined PPG Automotive Refinish, embarking on a path of continuous advancement and influence. His journey through the organization includes roles such as:

  • Lead Field Technical Trainer
  • Territory Manager
  • Zone Business Development Manager
  • Regional Sales Manager
  • Director of Business Development

Today, he serves as Director of Strategic Accounts and OEM Aftersales, where he continues to lead transformational initiatives, build high-performing teams, and expand PPG’s strategic footprint across the industry.

Tom is recognized for his exceptional sales leadership, sharp commercial thinking, and a collaborative approach to partnership building. What sets him apart is his genuine commitment to giving back  helping elevate the collision repair community, supporting shops, and mentoring the next generation of industry talent. He also contributes his time and expertise as an active member of the National Auto Body Council, supporting initiatives that strengthen our industry’s culture and community impact.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys life in Northern California with his family in what he affectionately calls their backyard “resort.” Those who know Tom understand how deeply he values both family and the industry that has shaped his life and career.

Tom will be stepping in to fill the Council seat previously held by Megan (Roe) Barrera, who has recently moved into an exciting new role leading PPG Packaging Vision. Megan played an invaluable part in shaping early discussions and offering insights during Plasnomic’s foundational phase. Her guidance and support have been deeply appreciated, and we wish her tremendous success in her next chapter.

As Tom steps into this role, he brings a unique combination of technical grounding, commercial strategy, and forward-thinking leadership that will greatly strengthen our Global Alliance Council. His experience will play a pivotal role as we continue building the world’s first universal standards for plastic repair, sustainability, and compliance.

Welcome aboard, Tom , we’re honored to have you on this journey. 👏
