Plasnomic is pleased to announce the appointment of Alberto Martínez Barceló, Head of Body Repair at CESVIMAP, to the Plasnomic Alliance Council.
CESVIMAP, MAPFRE Insurance research, development and road safety center, is internationally recognized for its industry leading work in vehicle repair research, training, advanced materials, repairability, sustainability and emerging automotive technologies.
An industrial engineer with more than 15 years of experience at CESVIMAP, Alberto has held technical and management roles across vehicle damage assessment, repair cost estimation, paint technology and body repair.
He currently leads research, innovation and knowledge transfer initiatives focused on improving repair processes, advancing component repairability and supporting sustainability throughout the automotive aftermarket.
“Alberto’s appointment brings one of Europe’s leading automotive repair experts and the technical strength of CESVIMAP to the Plasnomic Alliance Council,” said Mario Dimovski, President of Plasnomic. “His research experience, technical knowledge and international industry relationships will be invaluable as we work to establish evidence-driven plastic repair best practices, training and guidance.”
Alberto, and other recent appointments represent an important turning point for the Plasnomic Alliance Council, introducing a new group of leading technical and industry experts.
As part of this evolution, several founding Council members who represented industry in regional sectors around the world and provided valuable input on various repair methods and specialty suppliers in these regions will retire from their roles after making valuable contributions to Plasnomic’s direction and its drive toward stronger, industry aligned repair best practices.
