Welcome Michael Golding from Allianz to the Plasnomic Council,

Plasnomic is proud to announce the appointment of Michael Golding, Network Manager, Allianz UK, to the Plastic Repair Alliance Council.

“Michael’s appointment signals the level of collaborative work Plasnomic is undertaking with collision repairers, supply partners, training organizations, and insurers across the UK and EU markets,” said Mario Dimovski, Head of the Plasnomic Council. “Having global insurance leadership at the council level ensures that operational realities, cost efficiency, sustainability goals, and technical standards move forward together.”

Golding’s involvement, representing one of Europe’s largest automotive insurance providers, reflects the growing level of collaboration Plasnomic is building across the industry—bringing together insurers, repairers, suppliers, and educators to establish clearer standards, stronger repair-first strategies, and greater confidence in plastic repair best practices.

His participation further strengthens Plasnomic’s mission to serve as the central reference point for automotive plastic repair, supporting safer, more consistent and sustainable repair outcomes across the industry.

Golding has more than 38 years of experience in the motor accident repair and insurance claims industry, having begun his career as an apprentice collision repair technician. Throughout his career, he has built a broad, in-depth skill set spanning body shop estimating, management, and insurance engineering. Golding has held multiple leadership positions within engineering functions and repair networks, giving him a comprehensive understanding of operational, technical, and commercial aspects across the sector.

Golding is widely regarded for his long-standing commitment to the repair industry and his deep knowledge of both the insurance market and the collision repair supply chain. He regularly contributes to industry publications, represents Allianz at key industry events, and participates in panel discussions and thought-leadership forums that shape the future of collision repair and auto claims.

In his current role, Golding is focused on building and evolving the repair network of the future, ensuring that Allianz and its customers continue to benefit from consistent high performance, technical excellence, and outstanding service from network repair partners.

Plasnomic is working to strengthen industry alignment on plastic repair to create a clearer understanding of best practices from the right repair process, tools and materials to structured education pathways and stronger repair-first strategies.

With the accelerated growth of the Plasnomic plastic repair movement, the company is expanding its council representation. Discussions are underway across a broad base of major MSOs and insurance partners and progressing toward OEM engagement.

The Plastic Repair Alliance Council is also being restructured to introduce defined representatives across the industry.

This structure will allow specific council groups to focus on dedicated sectors such as collision repair operations, insurance strategy, supply chain alignment, training and education, sustainability, and OEM integration.

By enabling these council teams to work in focused silos, Plasnomic wants to ensure both depth and cohesion, bringing together the full scope of the global initiative’s mission in a structured, industry-aligned, and scalable way.
