Brian Driehorst & Mario Dimovski, were in the UK alongside local council member Peter McAninch for a productive visit hosted by the LKQ Bodyshop Division. The purpose of the meeting was clear: strengthen alignment and momentum behind a shared “repair-first” approach, and continue building best-practice standards for plastic repair helping collision repair businesses improve repair quality, retain more work through repair vs replace, and close the knowledge gap around the right tools, materials, and processes.
A big thank you to LKQ for the warm hospitality and for taking the time to provide a comprehensive tour of their impressive training academy, office, and warehousing facilities.
Seeing the scale of their capability and investment first-hand reinforced how important strong partners are in accelerating industry-wide change especially when it comes to education, process consistency, and improving access to the right resources across the repair ecosystem said Mario Dimovski Head of the Plasnomic Council.
We also want to sincerely thank Lee Berridge, Lee Smedley and Fred Muraya, for their time, extended site tour, open discussion, and collaboration planning.
The session was packed with energy and practical opportunity in the UK market to elevate plastic repair outcomes, and plenty of exciting pathways ahead in the collisions industry.
Plasnomic looks forward to building on this partnership and continuing the work together to elevate the UK plastic repair landscape.
Watch this space, a lot to come ahead.
